Our collaboration with Bokšto SPA began with one idea – to create relaxation rituals with a narrative. Julija started with a story – drawn from Vilnius chronicles, letters between Barbara and Sigismund, and court secrets. We explored what relaxation would be like if it were created for royalty.

Then the Bokšto SPA therapists joined in. They brought the sensations. We gathered scents and aromatic oils to help the body relax and to honour the story, and chose the flow of the massage, heat and cold contrasts, and sounds.

The rituals were born of emotion and bodily sensation. Each experience is refined, considered, and tested. The location is special: a SPA cellar beneath Vilnius Old Town, where life went on in Barbara’s day, and where deep relaxation now takes place.
