Vilnius Royal Hunt Dinner

We invite your group (from 8 people) on an extraordinary journey through time – a Vilnius Royal Hunt Dinner, taking place in Vilnius’s oldest restaurant, “Lokys,” located at Stiklių St. 8, Vilnius. This is a unique opportunity to step behind the scenes of a 16th-century hunt and into the swirl of a noble feast, where traditions blend with exceptional gastronomy. It’s a performance, new and old acquaintances, a feast and games, and a tour around one shared table in Vilnius’s oldest forest delicacy restaurant.

• Your dinner guide – Grand Duke Sigismund Augustus’s huntsman, an expert on 16th-century Vilnius, who will share intriguing stories about ancient hunting traditions, gossip, and true facts about Vilnius and its people at that time.
• An exclusive five-course dinner of forest delicacies, prepared according to authentic recipes of the Grand Duke of Lithuania and the Radziwiłł family.

Dinner Menu:

Starters:

• Assortment of four types of Lithuanian farmer-produced cured meats, four types of cheese from small Lithuanian farms, one type of pickled vegetables or mushrooms, sea buckthorn jam, and dried rye bread crisps
• Salad with sun-dried tomatoes, walnuts, radishes, berries, cherry tomatoes, and blueberry dressing
• Roe deer pâté with cranberry chutney and rye bread; boiled crayfish with herbs

Hot dishes:

• Roe deer medallions with pan-seared porcini mushrooms and charred apples, served with mini potatoes and a mint dressing
• Duck leg confit with orange marmalade and spinach mashed potatoes
• Dumplings with porcini mushroom filling, flavoured with onion jam.

Desserts:

• Cheese and curd pastry with strawberry jam
• Apple cheese with ricotta and candied pine cones
