“Colourful Royal Vilnius” Handbag

A joint collection by SLAPTA MEILĖ and PITEX. Designed and manufactured in Lithuania.

The graphics for the “Colourful Royal Vilnius” collection were created by designer Julija Janus.

The buildings of Vilnius’s Old Town are arranged in a thoughtful order on the Map of Love in Vilnius. From left to right, the most iconic places in Vilnius are associated with the legendary royal couple: Barbara Radziwiłł and Sigismund Augustus. Their love story in Vilnius unfolded at the Palace of the Grand Dukes and its surroundings, where you can now find the remains of the floor of the “Tunnel of Royal Love,” as well as images and a bust of Sigismund Augustus. Vilnius Cathedral—this is where the famous couple secretly married. St. Anne’s Church—this is where Barbara Radziwiłł prayed. Pilies Street and the Gate of Dawn, through which Barbara departed for Kraków to be crowned queen and returned to be buried in Vilnius Cathedral. And, of course, the image of the monument to Barbara Radziwiłł is drawn next to the Jesuit Church and Monastery, whose crown, seen from a certain spot on Vokiečių Street, lands in perspective right on the head of Barbara’s silhouette.

Romantic Vilnius unfolds in this sketch of a royal love story also because its Old Town has been recognized by UNESCO as one of the eight most romantic European capitals. This recognition inspired us to create the “Vilnius Love Map” collection.

The “Colourful Royal Vilnius” handbag fastens with a snap and features an interior zippered pocket. Spacious, comfortable, durable, and stylish.
