“Queen Barbara’s Pearls” Hazelnuts in White Chocolate with Orange and Sea Salt

Barbara Radziwiłł had a weakness for two things – pearls and oranges. Sigismund Augustus gave her both, because when you are queen, almost anything goes.

“Queen Barbara’s Pearls” are hazelnuts in white chocolate with a note of orange and the faintest whisper of sea salt. The taste is sweet, citrusy, even a little aristocratically unexpected.

The design is no less important than the contents. The packaging features a fragment of a painting by Miglė Kosinskaitė and was designed by Petras Saulėnas, so even opening the box makes you feel a little like one of the chosen.

A delicious gift, or a dessert that looks as if Barbara herself recommended it.
